Cereals are a basic source of energy and nutrition element
Energy – It contains 65% to 78% of starch.Protein – It contains 7-12 % of protein.

Minerals & vitamins – Cereals contain iron, vitamins like B- complex, calcium.
 
Fiber
– It contains plenty of fiber, which helps to prevent Constipation.

In India we mostly use to take whole Cereals in food, All are from the grass family group. we use rice, wheat, oats, rice, corn, maize, barley, sorghum, and millet in food.our food is mostly from CerealsBecause- it is the main source of energy and nutrition element
